Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Roullette Bio Band members-Nicky Johnson(Bass), Tracey Johnson(guitar), Roberta Johnson(no relation, guitar), John Webb, and Chante Brown.
Roullette started as Tepid, an all girl hard rock act. The band we now know as Roullette formed in the Fall of 2002 in Philadelphia Pa after gaining drummer John Webb.
So that was then and this is now...
Now Fall of 2004 the band has done some rearranging. The band is now Nikki(bass), Johh Webb(guitar), Warr(drums), and Chante'(vocals).
The band has gained underground as well as commercial success. Roulette’s entertained audiences from a wide variety of venues and stages: Philadelphia venues include; Club HP, Club 218, A.I. Social Club,The Pontiac Grille,The Balcony, the 5 spot, North by Northwest, The Rotunda, Doc Watson’s,Manhattan Room, Community College of Philadelphia’s Spring Fling ’03 and ’04 in addition to church and basement shows in between. The band will be playing a plethora of show this summer including Abilene’s, The Rotunda, and a New York Music Festival in July (details TBA). This year’s success for the band was helped by their involvement in an international Battle of the Bands festival called Emergenza. The first round proved promise with their first place status and with the overwhelming response of the audience as well as Emergenza staff. This year the bands single “Rush of Burn” was played due to popular demand on 94 WYSP’s Live and Local radio program. Fans and the growing curious to be fans can now visit Roullette,listen to Mp3’s, read lyrics and look as pics at www.soundclick.com/Roullette . The soundclick.com site also shows people have been spreading the word on Roullette like wildfire. Out of hundred’s of thousands of songs available on the site, “Favor” has climbed to be # 17 on the Rock: Rock general charts in a matter of months! The bands latest addition "Love Song" has has similiar success.Roullette is well received anywhere and everywhere as a band with great possibilities and energy. It seems everyone has been playing Roullette. The Band hopes to keep expanding to nearby cities and setting a mark in the local music scene.
