Rotllà: the Artist
A lifelong musician and creative artist, Rotllà (Ro-th-yà) is a true born talent. His love of Dance and Electronic Music are the driving forces behind the independent releases "Hypnotic", "Technotronic", and the recently released "Computerology Orchestra". Influenced by the space age society of yesteryear, Rotllà seeks to re-connect with sci-fi epicism and bring techno away from genre ridden sterotypes. Thusly, his music has becom a "nuance" rendering which features tinges of classical orchestration, vintage electro, hip hop, and techno rave. Never obvious, his post-modern techno "noob" creativity exudes an "otherworldy" sensibility consistent with the current idea ridden age. Overtly opposed to symbols of mediocrity, his music gestures at resonating a curious response against the de-sensitized status quo trend of mainstream popular icons. Unoranately, his digitized beat syncopations, rapturous harmonics, and signature "filter" madness, solidify the natural consistency of such graceful artistic sensibilities. It is in this opulent place that his ideas flourish, far away from meager inventions and genre cliches.

While taking on the titles of DJ and Electronic Musician, his response to the current industry standard is straighforward, and consumately definitive. With an arsenal of "classics" leagues deep, his tote bags sport a lively variety which catalogues only the greatest from "master" musicians and the most popular and proven amongst raving global club trotters. From places like Stockholm, to Berlin, Ibiza, and Brazil, his versatility as a dj stems from taking an "outer limits" type attitude, along with his "ethnocentric" view of the world. Whether back or front room, party or rave, his live sets are full of sonic emotion and cultural affair. As such, he has become a true eye and ear to the people.

I dj all over Southern California.. I do Special events, promotions, nightclubs... I Love to perform (dj) in front of an audience... A special moment was at the 2007 OC Weekly "best Orange County dj" competition at the Sutra Lounge, OC; where I dj'ed live on stage, and in front of a celebrity panel of judges including "Danny Love", "Dj Daniel" Park, and "Charles Feelgood"
Your musical influences
My musical influences come from dance artists, musicians, and iconic symbols of creativity. I have been known to be a part of the retro 80's vibe,, along with old school electronic beats.. and a lot of techno and house sounds. I love to incorporate rock and roll with electro sounding sci-fi vibe.. It's basically a free for all good time...What equipment do you use?
