What it is to be Insane What it is to be Insane
A short sexy/witty slap bass and vocal solo song performed by an eccentric young female!

I am a passionate and original female musician born and based in Bath, England. It could be said that I am mainly a bassist/singer, yet this is not true, as I am just as talented in playing many instruments, e.g. piano, guitar, harmonica, and recently the Sitar! Yet it seems most bands are in need of singers/bassists, so thats where so far I have committed myself when it comes to bands I play with. Being open minded, I have played and gigged with many bands of different styles but am still looking for the right one. I have plans to start an experimental solo project soon.
Band/artist history
About a year after I picked up the guitar at 16 I started getting offers from other bands/musicians. Before I started actually playing the bass at 18, I was a bassist for a short wile with someone who was organizing an electronica album in Bath though we never gigged. A year later I played bass with a friends old-skool metal band for a year, and then played for a funk/pop/prog band in Bath for about a year.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
At the moment I am only doing gigs with the band/bands on my college course, but have bigger plans. I used to gig with a heavy metal band called dante (my pic) who I had allot of fun with parading about doing the old cock rock cheese act!
Your musical influences
Hrm I hate this question, being so open minded! Im currently listening to Tool! I have always been infatuated with Massive Attack, Iron Maiden and the Red Hot Chili Peppers! It all started with rage Against the Machine, and Im now going through the 60s prog phase, like Jefferson Airplane and King Crimson..spose Primus, Bjork, Portishead and Prodigy are quite big influences.Im very old skool! But I like sooooooo much it ties my head in Knots!
What equipment do you use?
well so far only bog standard amps and guitrs, but once ive secured a steady job ill be getting loads of crazy effects/software and a multi track.
Anything else?
