Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Discovered Rap in 1985. Merged my already abstract ability to write and perform. Went through lots of writing phases and styles while remaining unique with words yet true to my character. I consistently expand the definition of "entertaining." Remaining Primarily a Solo Artist, I am more than willing and capable of front lining independently, I also do colaborate with all types of musicians allowing for a diversified sound which tends to perpetuate inspiration... while also setting the standards for innovation. . . . If your not pushing someones buttons....You ain't pushing the envelope!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Anytime I am capable. It doesn't matter where. I've perfomed on stage before thousands as well as small house parties without hesitation. Ive rhymed in the back of police cruisers while on the way to the next venue being a holding cell where they threatened me with sexual harassment charges ending that private performance. (hey, they brought me there... all I was doing was using the cells acoustics and reverb trying to make the best of the situation.) I love to perform and always am unique to the performance and the crowd. and as for that last question... Special moments are for Byatches. Accomplishments are the focus.
Your musical influences
I try very hard to be open minded to ALL types and brands of music. I like what I want to listen to and it's really none of your business what it is. To be influenced, in my mind, is not something I feel I need to be concerned with....You can learn from others mistakes but you are most likely spending too much time mimicking their success' that makes them unique.. Suffice in someones way of thinking and you might be disappointed when you find you never think for yourself enough to be original.
What equipment do you use?
A Microphone. Everything else has been lost in Pawn and besides, even after being left with nearly nothing... all I really use is a Mic....And thats not even totally necessary...I'm pretty loud on my own.
