Steve Perry, Brad Delp, Rob Thomas, and Edwin McCain come to mind immediatly...I love the blues too! B.B King, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepperd to name a few.

to keep it simple.. whatever works to get the sound and song out.
