Rog On Bass

Roger Lee Strosky was born on November 27 1953 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Growing up being greatly influenced by is Father, Gene Strosky, an accomplished 'Jazz Drummer/Percussionist'. Starting on the trumpet, he took on several instruments, including Drums and Guitar both of which he still plays, before choosing 'THE BASS' as his First and Main Instrument. Throughout his formative years and aside of growing up in Montana, Roger also lived in Los Angeles California, Cleveland Ohio, and Chicago Illinois. This was due to his dads many corporate job transfers for Sears. While resideing in these great musical cities he witnessed countless performances at a very influential age by many 'Top-Named Artists' from the Jazz, Swing, Blues and Rock Fields which contributed a great many influences to his overall development as a musician. It was while residing in the Chicago Area that He aquired his first bass on Valentines Day 1967, at the Ripe Old Age of Thirteen. Throughout the years Roger has played almost every kind of music imaginable and has done so at either 'Local Venues' or 'On The Road' in which he Has toured in excess of 33 States and 3 Canadian Provinces extensively throughout his 40 Year Career as a Pro Bassist, and not to forget Sweden, Norway and Denmark. With Art, Graphic Design and Web Design being his 'OTHER' passion, Rog attended Collins College Phoenix Campus starting in April of 2005 and Graduated with an Associates Degree in Visual Communications in October of 2006.
