Hailing out of Greenville, SC. The Music is a melting pot of Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Blues, and explosive jams.
Rockwood was started in Greenville,SC and consists of 2 guitarists, Chris Williamson(19) and Ross Bryson(20), Thomas McPartland(19) on bass, Brendan Williamson(17) on keyboards, and Joe Tamburro(18) on drums. Around late 2001, Chris and Joe started going to Chris' father's studio, Williamson Evans, and just basically jamming and just having fun playing music. They later teamed up with Chris' brother playing keyboards and a friend on bass. After jamming for almost a year it was time to start taking it seriously. Things weren't working out and it was time for some recruiting. Chris and Joe stumbled upon Thomas and just started jamming with him for a while. Sooner or later, he was in. A friend of theirs, Ross, who enjoyed the same kind of music and going to the same shows, decided to pick up a guitar. The band was finally complete. Around spring 03', Rockwood started writing some of their own tunes and working on some covers. Chris' brother Brendan then joing in 2004 as the keyboardist. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Widespread Panic, Phish, Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton, etc., the sound started to evolve and is still evolving. With a bluesy rock and roll sound with a level of spontaneity, Rockwood knows how to get a crowd going. They are willing to work hard and put in as much effort needed to pull anything off.
Of course. Where else would we play. Live is the only way to go.
