We know parents are sick of hearing the same children's songs over & over. The annoying dinky doinky keyboards and goofy singing are enough to make you want to stick a fork in your ear! Fear no more, put down the forks, "The Big Bang! "is a hard rock CD you'll listen to when your kids aren't even around! Distorted guitars, pounding drums, blazing guitar solos, gritty rock vocals and fun sound effects will have everyone jumping around, dancing and head banging! It's not too much heavy metal for kids and not too silly for grown-ups. Even if you don't have kids you'll enjoy hard rock and metal renditions of classic nursery rhymes and kids' music everyone has grown up with. Whether it's the thrash metal version of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", the punk style of "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain" or the Power Pop "Six Little Ducks" the "The Big Bang!" will deliver like no other. This isn't kids’ music... this is Rockosaurus Rex!
Band/artist history
65 million years ago, Rockosaurus Rex was the most popular rock band of the Cretaceous period. The four members of the band - Rex the lead singer and guitarist, Spike the bassist, Screech the guitarist, and Sara Tops the drummer - had met 10 years earlier in unusual circumstances. It had been a long Mesozoic era. It was hot and tropical, animals were evolving, and the supercontinent Pangea was splitting into pieces. Rex was in search of his next meal after a long day of practicing his guitar and singing. He called to his buddy Screech, who was flying around perfecting his guitar solos, and the two carnivores went off in search of food. They spied a tasty-looking triceratops in some bushes, and started to chase her. It was Sara Tops, and she took off running as fast as she could, until she reached her drum set. She hid behind it, underneath the cymbals, so neither one of them could find her. They ran and flew right past her. When the coast was clear, she couldn't resist finding a beat and pretty soon had a great groove. Spike was grazing nearby and he heard it. He grabbed his bass, found the rhythm and joined right in with her. The awesome jam attracted Rex and Screech, who by now had eaten. There was a tense moment when those two showed back up. But instead of attacking them, Rex and Screech got out their guitars and asked if they could sing and play along too. They sounded so good together, that they promised to never eat each other. 10 years later, Rockosaurus Rex was at the height of their fame and glory. One night, the band was rockinï hard to a sold out audience of over 2,000 dinosaurs down at The Swamp Club. The music was brilliant; a wall of sound emanated from the band. Suddenly, with a bright flash, a giant asteroid tore through Earth's atmosphere and exploded against the horizon. Before anyone knew what was happening, the waves of energy from the crash collided with the wall of sound, and the band was blasted into a rift in the time-space continuum. They woke up in the year 2006. With no way to get back home, and no home to go back to, they decided to just keep on rockinï. So they went into the studio and recorded the first truly rock album for kids. They are a band from another time... They have come to rock the children of Earth...
