BIOGRAPHY
A Black Rock Trio from New York City featuring Rock Slade (Bassist /
Lead Vocalist), Theo of York (Guitarist / Vocalist), and Reggie
Sylvester (Drummer).
What should also be noted is that Rockâs father was bebop trumpet
great Kenny Dorham.
Rockdiesel also went under the names Power X and Cockdiesel in the
past. Under Cockdiesel they released the CD âœTurn it up!â back in
1999. As Rockdiesel they have released two CDâs, self-titled
âœRockdieselâ in 2001 and newly released âœFeedbackâ in 2010.
Rockdiesel has opened for some notable acts, which include Bruce
Dickenson of Iron Maiden, Evan Dando of The Lemonheads, Dripping
Gross, Living Colour, Shirley Temple of Doom, and Kottack (James
Kottack, Drummer from Scorpions â“ 09/26/2007). Rockdiesel has also
played some of New York Cityâs most notable clubs over the years
including CBGBâs, The Continental, The Coda, Spiral, Cafà What?,
Rockridge, Lionâs Den, Desmondâs, Don Hills, 169 Bar, Fontanaâs Bar,
The Delancey Bar, The Underscore and many many more.
On September 25, 2006 the band participated in The Bodog Entertainment
Battle of the Bands. Rockdiesel was selected from hundreds of bands
that entered into the competition. Throughout 2007 they hit the clubs
hard, playing hundreds of shows including The Emergenza Music Festival
(2007-2008 Season). After the successful shows in 2007 Rockdiesel
started working on their next CD release in 2008. After perfecting
the sound and tracks âœFeedbackâ was finally released in January of
2010 to rave reviews!
With the release of âœFeedbackâ Rockdiesel is back doing what matters
the most, bringing their brand of rock to the masses. They are
currently doing show's in 2010 in support of their latest release with more
to come in the upcoming year.
