Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Im a single mom of two children, Matt 9, who is disabled and Madison 4. They are the driving force in me following my dream. I was born and raised in South Eastern Virginia in Emporia, about 60 miles south of Richmond and 100 miles west of the coast. As a child I was involved in sportssoftball since the age of about 7I still continue to play. We moved to Nashville, Tennessee in August 2003 leaving all our friends and family behind, for two reasons. Oneto take advantage of the wonderful things the state of Tennessee had to offer Matt and two for me to follow my dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. Ive also been a nurse for 11 years and besides that and singing and writing I cant think of anything Id rather do with my life. I started writing lyrics about two years ago after a bad break up while at work with a lot of time on my hands. Since then Ive written over 60 lyrics, co-written two songs, recorded one and had the other recorded by my co-writer. The words I write are about Life, Love and the Loss Of and should touch almost anyones heart, and I hope to have the chance to do just that someday!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Haven't gotten to the "on stage" part of it yet. But yes...i do karaoke all the time and I love it. Special moments....I was in my first Showcase here in Nashville last November..first time "in the spotlight"! Got awesome feedback...Definatly a night to remember!
