What band? I have to hold down a day job so for now I compose, perform and record all my music at home.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed playing.
Band/artist history
I played in amateur bands in the early eighties but concentrated on career and family. Now after a 20 year gap from serious music it is time to express some of the experiences of my life through my own compositions.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No, only studio production at the moment but when I complete my CD I intend to see what I can do about live performance.
Your musical influences
David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame is the single biggest influence on my music.
From the 70's I thrived on Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Black Sabbath, Rush, Mike Oldfield.
Now add Ministry of Sound Chillout, Zero 7, The Doves/Coldplay and bands like that, Massive Attack, oh and Radiohead but only the unique 'Kid A' album!
What equipment do you use?
PRS Santana Electric Guitar, Fender Squire Jazz Bass Guitar, Yamaha APX-3 Electro Acoustic Guitar, Yamaha Arranger Keyboard, Korg Microkorg Synthesisier, Line6 POD Guitar Effects Unit, Boss BR1180CD Recording Studio. Korg Electronic Guitar Tuner. Some very nice stage leads. Roland 15W Guitar Combo. Fender 10W Bass Combo (don't use this much!). Sennheiser Headphones.
Anything else?
Its always been my intention to produce and market a CD of my own compositions and arrangements. But I can barely find the time to compose/play hence this is what the music here focuses on and less on the production quality/mix.
If I am fortunate enough to generate record company interest at that point I need to consider re-recording eg with a real drummer! or professional audio engineering.
Yes i know its a drum machine but it has to do for now!
Tunes sound good...keep it up. I'd like to hear some vocals too!!
Rob. Congrats on being selected BR1180 Artist of The Month. You're getting a great sound out of your equipment. Keep it up!
Dave

I am sure that I listened to it before, but I have just had another listen to "Get A Grip." Thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the big guitar sound.
