Having only played the native flute for 5 years, Rob's technique and tonality is matched only by his richly textured compositions that encompass several genres and always with the native flute as the lead instrument.
Rob is a multi-instrumentalist and played all instruments on this debut CD "Siyotanka". He attributes his flute prowess to his many years of experience in music and playing guitar, both acoustic and electric. Rob's guitar abilities also crossed over quite nicely to bass guitar. His bass playing is both rhythmic and melodic and provides a solid foundation to Rob's compositions. Take a listen....Rob's music is soothing and relaxing as well as familiar and energizing. A unique blend of an ancient instrument to modern song stylings.

Yes, everywhere...usually pow-pows or music festivals. I love performing. That's really where truth is spoken or heard...loud and clear.
Your musical influences
A lot of native american flute music. However, there are so many flute players out there I can't say I like it all. Also, as a guitarist, I grew up with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull, Supertramp, Cream, etc....all the greats!
Anything else?
Up and coming! Future flute music will be of a spiritual nature. More about opening of the heart and less about thinking.....especially about the judgements we make about people without even knowing the who they are....really knowing who they are. How many people do you really know and love? Really???
