In 2022 the newly formed Hit'em Hard Trax was born. This new production arm would be the epitome of production houses around
the world putting out the hot of the hottest in todays music scene. The modifiable tracks consist of various sub-genres such as East Coast, West Coast, Mid-West, Dirty South, House, Jazz, Afrobeats, Rock, Gospel, Reggae, Latin, Drill, Crunk, Trap, and R&B. Rob Gee is a registered music publisher & writer with BMI (H.H.M.P. and Music Publishing) and has been since 1999.
Hitem Hard Entertainment Group is looking to contract its services out to other producers, record labels, and music supervisors who are looking to outsource work to get new music. The company is available and prepared to perform any of the original tracks live at the artists or producers convenience with proper fee's, production agreements, travel and hotel accommodations. This would allow indie artists the chance to be seen and heard worldwide without the contractual restrictions of being under a label.
Tracks are also available for use in the movie / motion picture industry. Demo tracks are available upon written email request with a contact person and phone number. Need something remixed?? Email an acapella (vocals only) version MP3 with correct timing of your hottest song, and watch Hitem Hard Entertainment Group blaze it with a hot track and send it back to you!

Band/artist history
Music has always been a talent of mine since I was a child. From playing drums as young as 9 years old in church to playing trumpet in middle school to high school band. Later Id DJ at the local skating rink which is what I think helped spark my interest in music production & creation as a whole.
I started with my first Roland "BOSS" Dr. Rhythm Drum Machine back in 1985 in my parents apartment in Northern Durham, NC in what was known as Bragtown. That drum machine along with my Fostex 4 track recorder was the start of something dope! I hooked up with a young man by the name of Ron Hanberry, AKA D.S.T Divine Saviour of Truth. Hailing from Brooklyn NY, he brought true lyricism and dopeness to the Emcee and rap scene in the mid 80s to our hood. We would go on to produce a dope EP that we would shop to B-Boy Records, Tin Pan Apple, SOLAR, and other majors such as Tommy Boy Records back in the day.
I built my first real studio in 1995 in my house in Northern Durham and from there I went on to build studios for a few friends of mine over the next couple of years. I owned several Alesis & Yamaha Drum Machines as well as keyboards for years before realizing that I truly had a passion for recording. I eventually upgraded from analog tape to the Vestax Digital 8 track Hard Disk Recorder eventually using a maxed out PC as my recorder of choice with Cakewalk (Sonar) and the Guillemot Isis input card. I had the Bull City on lock down with having one of the dopest home studios in the city. Since then I'd go on and built and owned 3 recording studio's / production suites in the RDU area. I joined BMI both as a writer and a publisher in 1999 establishing H.H.M.P. and Publishing, Co. which would fall under the Hitem Hard Music Productions imprint which was founded in 1988. In 1992 I purchased the Roland XP-60 Music Worksatation fully expanded with some of the dopest expansion cards on the market at the time. I also owned several samplers even though I was strongly against sampling and I had a dope Alesis Drum Machine. I created over 2,600 original multi-genre beats with the XP-60 and worked with several local and major artists on tons of their material. I was making Trap / Dirty South beats well before they came out.
Id go on to work with some dope artists locally and we would release a nice project. I ended up meeting this beautiful young lady I was a talented writer / mediocre singer who along with myself, wrote and produced an 18 track album in less than 1 weeks time. We captured the attention of Joie Manda of Asylum Records an Arista imprint in 2003 who was interested in signing my artists to the label. Eventually I had to drop the artists for trying to steal publishing from other artists that appeared on several songs on her album. As a result, I ethically could not go through with Asylum Records deal.
Later In 2003 I went through a somewhat bitter divorce and I sold most of my production gear and my publishing catalog before later finding out that I would win that portion of my divorce in court in 2003. I had already entered into music agreements with BET / Viacom Motion Pictures to provide instrumentals for the networks as well as signing with Phantom 4 Music Publishing out of Ontario, Canada for music licensing for TV / Film.
With everything going for me and my company, I got discouraged and shut down my entire shop until my oldest son Mario talked me into getting back into the game in 2015. I decided to take him up on it as long as he and his brothers agreed to learn the equipment so that one day they could take it over.
Times had brought about new ideas and new and much smaller equipment in the recording game so I had to upgrade to smaller more advanced digital equipment that would do the same things as all of my older analog gear could do. Everything was mixed and mastered in a computer. Well since I had gotten rid of main keyboard for beat making, I searched all over for a replacement before finding me a Roland Juno G keyboard. I used it for a few months until I came across the Fantom x6 at a local pawn shop. I had hit the production goldmine!!! I was back in the game and was ready to start producing some new material.
It's now 2023 and I've been busy with my newest toys, the Roland Fantom x6 and the Akai MPC-X. I'm looking to collaborate with other indie as well as major artists, producers, and music supervisors.
Let me help you make your next hit!!!!!

Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've performed in front of crowds but it pales in comparison to hearing one of my tracks performed live by an artist.
Your musical influences
My first influencers were two mentors who was in the game and knew exactly what I needed to do to be successful. It was Bill Ormond of the Twilights & Willie Hill of Inspire Productions. Later I studied and followed Quincy Jones, Rodney Jerkins, Jermaine Dupree, Dr. Dre, Babyface, and others who have shaped music in this century.
What equipment do you use?
Right now I use the Roland Fantom x6, The Roland Juno-G, and the Akai MPC-X Workstations for all of my productions. No offense but I'm not a "Fruity Loops" drag & drop producer. I like to pound out each and every sound on the keys and the pads!
Anything else?
