Swim (cover) Swim (cover)
Second recording with PODxtl. Somehow turned out crappier than the first. Guitars were a bit too quiet. Oh wells.
My Sweet Shadow (cover) My Sweet Shadow (cover)
My first recording with my PODxtl. Turned out pretty alright i think.
Monochromatic Stains (cover) Monochromatic Stains (cover)
Dark Tranquility cover. Recording the solo was a bi***. I couldn't find a proper guitar tab. And I tried listening to the song to figure it out, but they tune their guitars differently.
The Hive (cover) The Hive (cover)
First recording where I realized that panning guitars was a good idea lol. Huge improvement soundwise compared to some of my other earlier stuff where everything was straight centered.
L.Z.R.O. L.Z.R.O.
Chord progression ripped from a pretty well known Led Zeppelin tune. I tried doing a cool In Flames guitar harmony thing in it too.
Eruption Eruption
My guitar teacher was teaching me Eruption. Never got the whole thing down, just this little part I recorded. And somehow I was stupid enough to only record mono to the right.
Late Nite Late Nite
Inspired very very late at night to write something. That and having a new guitar inspired me to write.
Spaceage Desert Donkey Progression Spaceage Desert Donkey Progression
I felt like recording something with my new acoustic when I bought it.
Original Attempt at Episode 666 Original Attempt at Episode 666
This was my original attempt at Episode 666. Very short 30 second clip. Just guitars. I also didn't realize how useful a metronome is. And as a result the left and right side guitars are so off from eachother.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (cover) Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (cover)
Just the guitar track to Led Zeppelin's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. Recorded it mainly so I could jam over it. My guitar teacher and I were working on possibly using it as a jam song at my guitar recital.
Shut The Hell Up Meh Shut The Hell Up Meh
Purely experimental. I took a loop of me saying "SHU T THE HELL UP MAN!" and shoved it into Fruity Loops and did a buncha random stuff.
Random bit of Damage Control Random bit of Damage Control
Was learning this random riff from John Petrucci's Damage Control. And I couldn't play it up to speed either lol. This was mostly me messing around with the plug-in effects that Cool Edi Pro 2.0 had. I think i used just chorus.
Zaza Zaza
Random recording of a Neil Zaza riff. I think its from a song called I'm Alright. Not really sure though.
Evil Synth Idea Evil Synth Idea
Was listening to a lot of Dimmu Borgir. Programmed the most evil synth I could possibly program and played random guitar over it.
This Thing Back This Thing Back
Probably the most f***ed way of recording. My friend recorded random bass, and I recorded random guitar over it. The timing was so messed up. And I had no idea what he wanted me to do with the bass track.
Not So Heavy Not So Heavy
Got the inspiration for the song a few weeks after seeing Dream Theater, Queensryche, and Fates Warning live in concert. I was actually trying to write song that would sound like RATM, but it turned out NOTHING like RATM. Oh well...
Sunshine Jam Idea Sunshine Jam Idea
I just got my wah pedal for my b-day and recorded this. I was reaaaaally into Joe Satriani at the time. Explains the whole vibe to it. The whole thing was improv too.
