Formed in 2003 with Alex Flatt,Tim Cappos, Tom Cappos and Pierce Rambow. Started as basically a jam band. Ritual In Death didn't actually start to take form until February 13, 2005 when Alex Flatt left. Now with Rob Roman, Tom Cappos, and Tim Cappos, Pierce was kicked out some time before, the band started writing songs. In June of 2005 they got a vocalist by the name of David Raue but he was asked to leave in February of 2006. At that point, Rob decided to do full vocals and bass as well. In March of 2006 a new guitarist was found by the name of Kevin Jasionowski. In April of 2006, Ritual In Death played their first show at The Soundlab in Mokena, IL with Whorrid and Repressed Crusader.
