ABOUT RIDGEBACK RECORDINGS Ridgeback Recordings is a group of dedicated DJ’s, performers, and producers who share a common passion for good musicdance music, hip-hop, jazz, and funk, anything that pleases the ear. Although we share a common passion, we provide unique skills, talents, ideas, styles, and backgrounds that help keep our minds open. Everyone in Ridgeback has been DJing, producing, performing, or all of the above for many years. We have vast experience and knowledge in music and music production. We are not yet a record label, we hope to cross that bridge in due time. Right now we are concentrating heavily on our productions in house and progressive house, our hip-hop album, as well as our DJing skills. We have two large full production studios in the Dallas/Fort Worth area along with several smaller, yet quite efficient, home studios. We are catching the attention of several solid house and progressive house labels as well as some international DJ attention. We are very pleased and excited about what we have done so far, but we all recognize as a group that this is just the beginningour goal is to provide good solid grooves, through our original productions and DJ sets. DJ NTRAIN--DJ/Producer/Co-Owner Past Accomplishments 1) Tuesday Night Resident at Mick’s Bar with Mark J‘99‘00. 2) Edgeclub Co-Host from ’97’98. 3) Member Of TEAM Progress with Jeff K, Shaun Slaughter, Edwin Watson, and Brad Duke. 4) Played shows with World Known DJ’s Such As: Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Dave Ralph, Justin Robertson, John Debo, D:FUSE, Jeff K, DJ Merritt, and Single Cell Orchestra. 5) Co-Produced a total of three trackswith more in the works presently. Team Progress“Symphonic Music”, BREATHE“Beyond All Logic”, and BREATHE“SN2001AD”. 6) “The Rhythm Kitchen”live mix radio show- co-host with all of Ridgeback Recordings members every Tuesday and Thursday on www.musicians.net 7) Employee at Oak Lawn Records ’99‘02 8) Friday night resident DJ at Salve on McKinney in Dallas. 9) Saturday and Sunday resident DJ on the patio at club Seven in Dallas Current Projects 1) Producing music with Doug Duvall as BREATHE. 2) Part of Ridgeback Recordingsa Dallas/Fort Worth based production team of music. Mainly focused on producing great electronic and hip-hop music. 3) Guest Column Music Reviews of progressive house for Feedback MagazineAustin. 4) Tuesday night resident at ZuBar on Greenville with DJ Milarepa. 5) Saturday night resident at Firehouse on Greenville with Doug D. 6) Awaiting opening of Club EnsenadaDallaswhere Doug D and myself will be the Friday/Saturday night main floor residents. 7) 01-01-02 Launch of the I.Y.F.F program. 8) “Beyond All Logic” has been chosen for the soundtrack of the independent movie “Bar Fly”. Also, BREATHE has had the pleasure of having the track “SN2001AD” placed on the Balance Promote Group Chart. We hit number 13 out of 40 during the week of May 14, 2001. This chart is compiled by North America’s premier progressive dj’s and record shops and it is currently headed by Chris Fortier of Florida. Doug D--a.k.a. "iyff"--DJ/Oroducer/Co-Owner Doug has been actively involved music production for 8+ years. Starting as a guitarist and bass guitarist, and playing a little bit of drums along the way, he has played and produced everything from jazz to funk to rock.but he found out with the help of his brother that his passion is in electronic dance music. He spins mostly house and progressive house. His other tastes include funky down tempo, GOOD trance, and some breaks. He has had residencies at Lush Lounge in Austin, TX and The Orchid Bar in Dallas, TX. Doug also has several production projects in the works. He produces a variey of styles including house, progressive house, hip hop, down tempo, and other non classified expierimental tracks. He writes with Noel “NTRAIN” Keith as breathe. They have been writing forward thinking music together for almost ten years now. He was the main producer behind the single “you are” for Pipeline Records with the THIN MEN and is working on follow ups. As the founder and CEO of Ridgeback Recordings, doug does not manage, control, or oversee any of its members or any of their eventshis primary focus is to help all of the members in any possible way. Doug’s goal with Ridgeback is to keep pushing the boundaries of his music while never forgetting what it is all about: SOUL and SPIRIT.

where do we start.....how about at the root level: underworld, leftfield, orbital, beastie boys, tribe called quest, c & m productions, lexicon ave., doc martin, danny howells, lee burridge, of course sasha and digweed, ashley casselle, the timewriter...too many to list them all... we love well produced slick tunes. it must have an edge and a groove is essential. no thin music--it must have soul and a vibe..period.
