Rick Waugh
I've been playing guitar for 35 years. Played in a band in and after high school, tried to make a living, but that was when disco was big.... so playing live was not a success. Took some classical lessons for a while, then played on and off, mostly on but not a lot, for 20 years or so. A few years back, got back into it a lot, and started playing fingerstyle solo acoustic. I've writing, practicing, enjoying, just getting into it again. Now I'm ready to post some of my pieces, and hoping folks will enjoy them.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I like to play for people, but haven't played at a paying gig for a very, very long time.
Your musical influences
Steve Howe, Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes, Eric Tingstad, James Taylor. Just about any acoustic guitar work, but just about any well played, interesting music.
What equipment do you use?
Currently playing an Epiphone EL-00. I love it - a great little guitar for fingerpicking, inexpensive, and with a Tusq bridge, it sounds great.
