Nice playing man, I especially dug "the eighth is of the seven". Interesting grooves.

From a post on newsgroup: rec.music.makers.guitar.jazz "Your tune [Mi Media Naranja] sounds like "Metheny meets the Mahavishnu". You certainly have absorbed that sound and are able to make a stylistically convincing statement." Posted by: Jazz Guitarist Joe Finn

Guitarist Rick Richbourg is in the studio putting the finishing touches on his upcoming CD, Life is for the Living. With apparent trademark humor Richbourg claims, "Release is sometime this quarter ... touring info to follow." He's also putting his degree in Music Composition ... from Berklee College of Music ... to good use. "I am currently writing a 'gumbo' of musical styles that include a combination of 'heavy-metal be-bop' and post 20th century rock," says the native Floridian who grew up in the Orlando area. Find ample samples and downloads of Richbourg's music at http://rickrichbourg.com. Quoted from .

From: Marc Hoffman Date: 10-26-2001 10:52:06 Subject: Review The music of Rick Richbourg defies simplistic categorization, a melting pot of many different styles, all deftly handled with consummate ease, aided by exquisite musicianship. This music deserves to be given that rarely accurate accolade, 'original'. --Marc Hoffman

Aja asked “whatzup with all the stuff at the end after the Prez talks?” Answer: Well thanks for asking such a good question... History has demonstrated that when tested, Americans always rise to brave the challenge and emerge victorious. I wanted sounds – a “musical metaphor” – if you will, that would sonically represent the indomitable spirit of the Americans I know. I could think of no better way to do that, than with sounds of American’s at work, rebuilding, reconstructing, DOING!
