Richard Taylor family and friends

I'm very excited about my first self produced single. It's actually a prayer come true. The recording, featuring the music of my nephew Charles Taylor jr., and the added attraction of my talented nieces from Waterbury Conn.," The Daughters of Praise", Danielle, Alecia, Jasmine and Courtney Wade, is a family collaboration like no other. I am greatly anticipating the full album release this winter. This single was inspired by the young people in my family who were seeking other avenues with their talent but thank God they decided to work with me on this gospel project. my very talented children and nephew
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We've been singing in church since we were small,my immediate siblings, now we all have children, young adults and the lord has blessed them to carry on
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes I do play live we haven' really been to many places as a group but we all sing in our various churches
Your musical influences
the Hawkins family and the Winnans
What equipment do you use?
mostly keyboards workstations and drums
Anything else?
There was a time in philly when some of the top rap and R&B producers were accepting demos and beats. My children were there and also my nephew, they all had self produced demos and beats but I challenged them to use their talent where they got it IN THE CHURCH!!So they worked with me on this cd. the music for It had to be love and leaving the 99 was produced by my nephew Charles Taylor jr. The title track was also co produced by my daughter Robyn who along with my wife Sharon sings background
