Nashville's finest and greatest songwriters have already discovered Richard, now it's up to you ! In 1990 Richard started his musical career in local pubs and on small festivals as a solo artist. In 1994 he joined the populair Dutch Country Band Alabama Rain. With this band he had lots of succes in the European Country Scene. In 1995 they won the Euro Disney Country Music Award, The KRO (radio ) Pop & Country Award, and they were invited to play the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN. The band opened for many, many artists like; Wanda Jackson, The Bellamy Brothers, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, The Tractors, Don Williams and others. Alabama Rain split up at the end of 1997, and Richard picked up his solo career. In 1999 record company Nash Music signed Richard and made his dream come true, In januari 2001 Richard finally got the chance to start recording his solo album. Thanks to Richards good friend Steven McClintock, he found the way to Nashvilles finest songwriters and within a couple of weeks Richard had more than 300 songs to choose from. Songs written by; Kent Blazy, Steve Mandile, Steve Seskin, Steve Wariner, Bill Anderson , Billy Kirsch, Victoria Shaw and others made it really hard to pick the right songs for the album. One of the selected songs is a duet Steven McClintock wrote with Victoria Shaw and Richard is extremely proud that Victoria sings the female part of Loved by you.
