As a musician, I feel that the most effective way of communicating and connecting is though sound; however, it takes both voice and string to effectively portray emotion. Music is grounding to me, and all of what I do is an attempt at recreating this feeling.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have spent a long time developing my song base. This leaves me with very little time to perform, however, I have played at many coffee houses in the Worcester county area. I also give lessons on Indian Classical Music for Fitchburg State College, on the Sitar.
Your musical influences
Bob Dylan is a powerful presence in my music, not so much in a genre sense, but in a compositon and poet way. I appreciate the simplicity of his guitar playing, coupled with the complex lyrics. Also, Ravi Shankar, and Indian music in general. Even after all of this time, they still hold onto the magic feeligs of musical creation. I appreciate any musician who seems to have that spark in their songs. When someone is inspired, it shows, whether it be art or music
What equipment do you use?
I currently carry around a Martin D-15, Martin Backpacker and a Shrishti Sitar. Sometimes, a Ukelele
