Rhubarb play their own brand of guitar charged pop.
Their debut album Kamikaze won the prestigious "Album of the Year" at the 14th Annual Sunnie Awards, and had Rolling Stone Magazine calling it 'totally irresitable'.
"Kamikaze shimmers with the kind of summery guitar pop that's sure to brighten even your dullest day. Much of its warmth lies in the quality of the songwriting." Time Off Magazine
"It's packed with great guitar pop tunes like Zero, Holiday and Want Me Back, and songs ranging in style from the acoustic guitars and string quartet of Do Do Do to the gorgeous Beatles-circa-Revolver melody of Lead Me." Pulse (The Courier Mail)
Rhubarb have enjoyed regular airplay and their single Exerciser was voted #20 in TripleJ's Hottest 100 for 1999. A busy live schedule has included Big Day Out, The Falls Festival and sharing the stage with Creed, The Cruel Sea, Custard, Pollyanna and more.
Musically, Rhubarb weave a variety of instrumentation around their guitar driven pop without compromising their user friendly melodies. They deliver substance without becoming too serious.
