The original band "Frantic" was started in 2003 in North Spirit Lake ON by Darren Keno (guitar), Corey Rae (drums), and Steven Wesley (guitar and vocals). Frantic performed at many local gigs in their home reserve of North Spirit Lake ON. Wihout a bass player the trio performed as a cover band at the Muddy Water Music Festival in Sandy Lake ON.
In 2004 Frantic recruited Sandi Owen from Poplar Hilll ON on bass guitar and once again performed at the Muddy Water Music Festival. Aside from playing cover songs, Frantic unveiled and performed 3 original songs which were entitled "song for the parents", "let me be" and "shroud of denial" all of which were written by Steven Wesley. Through these performances they had established themselves as a small but growing name in the local music scene. Later that summer they would also perform at The Little/Big Moose Music Festival in Pikangikum ON.
The following year in 2005 Darren left the band and was replaced by Sandi on guitar. Frantic then recruited Logan Meekis from Keewaywin ON to bass guitar. Once again they performed at the Muddy Water Music Festival, however this would be the last.
In August of 2005 Steven recorded a 15 song demo in North Spirit Lake on a digital recorder which featured Darren Keno on bass and electric guitar, mixed by Darren Keno. The songs had been around for a few years, even before the beginning of Frantic. They varied from light rock to hard rock. The songs on the demo included "when you were mine", "song for the parents", "let me be", "I love you, im sorry", and "find your way".
In April of 2006 Steven recorded another 11 song demo mixed by Travis Peters in Pikangikum ON. The songs were a bit more dark, and distrurbed, once again varying from hard rock to light rock, 2 songs featured Travis Peters on keyboards. The songs on this demo included, "everybody welcome", "last time", "gone away", and "afraid".
In November of 2006 Steven recorded a third demo in Pikangikum ON, this one consisted of 9 songs and were mixed by Travis Peters. Another track would later be added the following month of December. This one being recorded back in North Spirit Lake and mixed by Darren Keno. The songs were a mix of old and new written throughout the year, once again varying from light rock and rock. The songs on this demo included "all the time", and "i cant hate".
In September of 2007, Frantic reunited and recorded 3 songs at Platinum/Gold Studios in Winnipeg MB. The songs were "when you were mine", "gone away", and "all the time". The songs would later be played over the Wawatay Radio Network. The line up consisted of all 3 original Frantic members Darren, Corey, and Steven, with Logan on lead guitar and Darren on bass.
Shortly after the recording session Keith Martin from Wunnumin Lake ON was recruited to drums, bumping Corey up to rythm guitar. It was during this time that Steven wrote and recorded 3 new songs on a voice recorded and an mp3. These songs were "everythings over", "rise above", and "you went away".
In the following month of October Frantic headed back to Platinum/Gold Studios to work on 11 more songs to add to the September session for the very first official album which consists of the 14 songs from the demos by Steven. The line up this time was Corey, Logan, Keith and Steven. Steven filled in for Darren on the bass because he was unable to make the session. Due to legal issues that would have come up with the name "Frantic", they were forced to change their name. After much debate, Corey and Steven came up with the name "Rezmyth".
