ReVerSe PerFecT
If you like a spiritual message, combined with explosive guitars, and really hard, and loud rock, then you've come to the right place....as perfection is utterly opposite of what can be attained....hence we are ReVerSe PerFecT.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well, basically, the picture you see is the one from my first band, Turnover. We all met through high school, and I (Ben) met drummer Dan and started jamming with him, and then a year later, we met Greg, who played guitar and we formed a trio under the name of Turnover. We then recorded what you hear now in the winter of 2000. A lot happened since then, as we broke the band up for college, but me and greg met a new drummer whilst in college, who was Nick. We played for about another two years, and finally broke up Turnover in the summer of 2002 as we drifted apart from playing music. I continued to write music, and to perform by myself as it has always been my dream to play my music to the world. The winter of 2003 came up, and my family and I moved to a place called Dubai as there were some family problems we had to attend to, and I toured Asia for the rest of the year, writing music. It was in Dubai that I found God, and became a Born Again Christian as I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I then moved back home to Toronto, Canada in the spring of 2005, armed with many experiences, and lots of time to write new material. Only this time, I write about my experiences in the past, and my relationship with God, and how God has saved me from a lot of bad things. I figure that in the past I wanted to become a musician for my own glorification, but now, I am doing this for God, to spread his good word to the entire world, yet still mosh to some heavy Christian Rock. So, I immediately contacted Dan, our original drummer who recorded the Turnover sessions, about this idea that I had for a new band. We soon started working on some new material, and ReVerSe PerFecT was born!! :) I pray that I do get a record deal one day, so I can record some Christian material, because the songs on the site are all secular ones from the past. Since ReVerSe PerFecT is just starting up, I am in the process of recording some new stuff, so I hope to have it on the site soon for you guys.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played live in Toronto a couple of times in the past, under our old band name Turnover. We mostly played at the Big Bop club, however, now I'm just working on new material, and working on ReVerSe PerFecT getting started up. We hope to maybe start playing toward fall of this year.
Your musical influences
My favourite bands and influences are Blindside....these guys from Sweden rock!! :) P.O.D....these brothers showed me the way to God's word as the first Christian band I heard, and Blindside being the second. Chevelle....man these three guys here, that's what I like, heavy guitars and a good message to back it up. It's my dream to play with all these bands one day.
What equipment do you use?
Right now, since I pretty much sing, play guitar, and bass for recording purposes anyway, I use a Fender Acoustic for the slow stuff, I'm picking up an Ibanez 7 String, and Crate Stack for the heavy stuff, and my bass is an Ibanez Sound Gear 5 string with a standard Bass Amp. I hope to get a bassit for live purposes as I pretty much plan to play guitar and sing. My drummer Dan pretty much uses a Pearl Drum Kit with a rack, and double bass pedals. I know in our music it says alternative metal, and it sounds like grunge, that's because when we made the first record 6 years ago, that's what were into. When I post up the new stuff, you will see that it is a lot heavier!! :)

Not much else to say, except God is good, he will really be there for you, if you just ask him!! :) I also hope that we will get signed to a record label one day so we can rock out to the people and spread God's word!! :)
