Reverie

Reverie is composer/pianist Patrick Lee Hebert and composer/guitarist Chris Lonsberry from Manchester, New Hampshire. Their music is a various mix of acoustic instrumental music with influences from classical, celtic, folk and beyond.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Composer/pianist Patrick Lee Hébert and composer/guitarist Chris Lonsberry joined talents to create the duo "Reverie". Their diversity of style entrances the listener and brings him through a deluge of mental imagery, ranging from a crashing thunderstorm to a beautiful Scottish meadow. Patrick brings his classical training and background to the table while Chris has a more contemporary history. The combination works incredibly well together and has delighted listeners for years. Their self-titled debut CD was released in spring 1998. Since then, they have played numerous concert dates and radio shows, appeared on the Bonjour cable show and have done a number of charity concerts for various organizations, including a March of Dimes benefit attended by the Governor of New Hampshire. Classically trained, Patrick Lee Hébert has been performing his solo compositions since his debut in 1991. He has appeared on numerous circuits including television "The Joseé Vachon Show", radio "WDER" and live performances throughout New England and the Midwest. Mr. Hébert is the Music Director at Trinity Full Gospel Church in Hooksett, NH. With three albums to his credit, Patrick continues to avidly compose and perform. He is also a published poet and a noted teacher. Patrick plans to release his third CD of piano solos in the Fall and, aside from his efforts with Reverie, will continue to expand his solo piano career. Chris Lonsberry is a self-taught "lefty" guitarist whose ease and clarity of playing has been described as ethereal and powerful. Mr. Lonsberry started playing the guitar when he was 15 years old and has an appreciation for almost every style of music, which is reflected not only in his guitar style, but also in his composition. In 1999, Chris released his first two solo efforts, "Forever Roads", a CD of primarily acoustic guitar music and, "Diode Melody", a CD of electronic synth music. Collectively, they are working on the second Reverie CD, which is currently untitled.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Sure.. everywhere we can.. libraries, halls, festivals, cardboard boxes behind KMart... We both really enjoy playing live and hearing the feedback from fans. Standing ovations are always special.. and requests for encores. One of my special moments was signing my first autographs.
Your musical influences
Patrick grew up on classical and gospel. I actually came from a metal background. As a child, I was exposed to alot of country.. LOVED the Beatles. My mother was the source of my musical diversity. She listened to just about everything under the sun.
What equipment do you use?
We both spend a lot of time on Yamaha equipment.. my acoustic guitar and Patrick's piano. He also plays Steinways whenever he can in concert.
