Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
WORKed with a lot of Underground cats back in the US, too many to name (Ones, Jinx, York, Breaks, Midnite, goes on and on) still waiting to hear a track leak on the radio, I did like 4 years ago or something. But I've been writing poetry at a very young age, one of my first memories when me and my family moved to Queens, NY is listning to Fat Boys MC LYTE on the radio. I fell in love ever since. Stretch and Babbito freestyle sessions really influneced my lyrical writing; cause I was like if these cats are doing it off top, I could write somethin nice. From there I move to Charlotte, got with a good crew that introdouced me to a wide variety of music. Today I reside in Dubai for business reasons and my home back in the US is CT.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yea, Orginally based in Charlotte, use to do alot of Poetry/slam/hip-hop shows out there. WORDPHORIA (WORDPHORIA.com) was the name of the show.
Your musical influences
Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Dead Presidents. Old school Hip Hop like Schooly D, KRS-1. I love Jazz and alternative hip hop, Wu tang, Company Flow, Immortal Tech. Too many to name and shit. I'm also inspired by Nature and the feel of the city, any mega metroplis.
What equipment do you use?
Mostly computer based production software, Reason, ACID, Fruity Loops, Cubase etc. I have turntables for sampling and scratching. Um I would love to get an MPC, so anybody feeling generous hit a brotha up!
