Replica formed in Edinburgh in the summer of 2004 and the speed with which the band have acquired a local following has been extraordinary and exciting, accompanied with complimentary comments in the local press to the tune of:
the exceptional vocal interplay of Greg Jones & Andrea Harkin, reminiscent of early Everything But The Girl (Daily Record Newspaper).
This musical duo began writing melodic, acoustic-inspired tunes together way back in 2000 and the recent addition of John Lemke on Lead guitar, Graeme Mill on drums and Alan Evans on Bass Guitar has given the band a diverse and truly original sound - its five members hailing from Ireland, Scotland, England and Germany. At the heart of our musicianship lies a youthful, energetic and open minded approach to performance, writing and recording which we intend to develop and explore. We write songs that make people get up and dance alongside heartfelt melodic songs with strong, contrasting rhythms.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play a lot of gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Theres a few really good venues up here, but we're looking to branch out and meet other bands and gig with them in London or other big cities
Your musical influences
We have a great diversity of taste between us, from Aphex Twin to Converge to Norah Jones, but influences on the music itself would be more like Radiohead, Interpol, The Cranberries and more sort of melodic bands with a rough edgeWhat equipment do you use?

Greg:Fender Strat with Boss Delay, Reverb + Dist
John:Fender Tele with a ton of effects pedals including Boss Delay, Dist,Phaser,Synth+Tremelo. Also uses a Micro-Korg keyboard/synth
Alan:Ibanez Bass, multiple effects
Graeme:Zilijian cymbals+cane sticks when used.
