Born and raised in Bridgeport CT, Renegade of the king was born into a single parent environment where he and his brother lived with his Mom. He didn't have many choices in life but faced poverty, abuse, and neglect from what every child wanted, a Father. Renegade like many young people today, was influenced by material things in life and how it seemed to bring happiness. He only had few choices to escape some problems in his life such as poverty, abuse and low self esteem. These choices revolved around Church, School and sports. Later on in life when he felt he found himself he was just doing things to relieve stress and to keep busy in the projects to release the pain that was inside. After high school he found himself trapped in a world that ended up with him being jobless, near homeless and desperate. Renegade then turned to the streets to make ends meet. He pursued a rap career, got into drinking and selling drugs and plainly forgot about God in his life. Continuing this life style he found a job but didn't stop his street life and had a son. Renegade found himself in several domestic disputes that landed him in a bad position and another child on the way.
How God will change your life:
Renegade decided to give his life back to the Lord realizing that God had saved him from many life threatening events in his life from birth, being shot at, robbed, vehicle accidents, serving time outside of being in a holding cell and many other trials of life he passed through.
Renegade has devoted his life, and musical gifts for the work of Christ. Renegade has written and produced for his church choir and youth group (New Life) enhancing his musical abilities. He has shared the stage with many artist (Three Disciples, Sanctified Family, Trevor Pope, Pastor Rez and Prodigal Son) to name a few. Renegade has also had the opportunity to minister for Bobby Jones (Bet Gospel).
Renegade has released 7 Gospel rap projects War B tween 2 in 2003, Ministry Over Beats vol 1 in 2004, the Preparation EP in 2005, 1000 Miles EP in 2006 produced by Prodigal Son and Only God Can Judge Me October 2006 ,Ministry Over Beats vol II 2007 and S.W.A.T (spiritual warfare against trials) EP being released June 2010. Renegade also appears on Psalms 133 produced by Trevor Pope, The Honey Project, The Power team trinity release in 2007 and welcome to HOLY-wood compilation on HOLY-wood Records. Renegade received Holla Back Videos Connecticut Gospel hip hop artist of the year in 2006 2007 and reached #1 on the sound click Christian rap charts. He has ministered in churches and youth events in the North East, West, Mid-West and South (Florida). Renegade is also part of the Holy-wood Records recording team overseen by CEO Kelly Prodigal Son Williams.
Renegade is an inspiration with his music to so many that he reaches and has been claimed by many to be a strong mentor that has touched and changed their lives (PRAISE GOD).
