RemedyKeizer
There is much illness in the world, wars, rumors of wars, false prophets,
too many channels, unrighteous causes, too many ways to be distracted from the
quiet calmness of our true nature.
We pray that we can provide the Remedy for a wounded, fallen, imperfect world.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?

Remedy is a Christian Band that brings the message of Salvation in a upbeat, fun, and easy to understand way .
History time line:
1986: The seeds for Remedy were planted when friendships were make in the summer of "86"
Greg Christensen met Steve Gierloff , who in turn introduced Brian Weaver, they found that they shared a common bond, music, and they formed a 3 piece. This was at the height of Heavy Metal, so needless to say , their desire's and musical taste, where along the line of Scorpion's , Judas Priest, and Iron Madien. This core was to become Remedy. Greg met Steph in the fall , A friendship bloomed into a romance, then a full blown marriage in February of 1992.
1992: March was the next sighting of a very primitive Remedy line up. Greg on Guitar/Vox, Brian on Drums, and Raymo Sills on bass. It was Greg and Steph's wedding reception, Steph was convinced, by a lot of crowd prompting, to get up and play bass with Greg, and Brian. Their debut/swansong was a combination of Louie louie/ Hang on Sloopy.
1996: Greg met Gary Livingston, and began playing acoustic guitar's together. Working mostly on Beatle's , and classic rock songs.Brian was in AZ. at the time , so there wasn't any drum's .
1997-2000: Toward the turn of the Century, Brian had made his way back to Keizer, and was incorporated into the Duo of Greg, and Gary, and formed Cornerstone. They were playing a combo of Classic rock, and original's . Live! from Bob's Church, and Paridise Cove were the highlight's of this incarnation. By this time , They had excepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and felt drawn toward music with a message. Brian Had an job opportunity in Arizona, and Cornerstone was disbanded before there was a chance to make an impact.
2004-2006: Greg joined a Christian band in Canby called "Not 4 Sale" . Originally filling the Lead guitar/ back up vox position, Greg was eventually thrust into lead vox/rhythm guitar , due to a line up change in the band. By fall of "04" the new line up had adopted the name, "Macrofish". A set list consisting of a mixture of Christian, and family friendly music satisfied Greg's need to play for the Lord for a time. In retrospect it was a time to learn the inner workings of a band. Macrofish was disbanded in November of "06" , due to personal reason's .
2007: In the winter of "07" Brian made a few phone calls, and Cornerstone was resurrected for a few month's . The need to play for GOD, and get the message out was rekindled. Cornerstone didn't have the spark it once did, and parted ways by mid summer.
Randy Lorentz played bass with Greg on the worship team at Keizer Community Church. He had been invited to sit in on Bass on several occasions , and in October he finally came over. Randy brought a youthful exuberance to the band, and fit in quite well . Greg and Brian are young at heart, and Randy being young, found that they all shared a love in Christian Rock, aka. Audio Adrenaline, 3rd Day, Newsboys. We decided to call the new project Remedy.
2008: Practices were held in a cold garage in Keizer , in the dead of winter. Thing's seemed to grind to a halt, had they lost sight , or maybe their heart's weren't in the right place. A heart felt prayer was lifted to the Lord, simple, but effective, " Lord please do something with this , or remove the desire." That was a turning point in Remedy. When GOD took over , and the band put Christ at the center of the project, things started to happen. April "08", Jackie Warrick joined the band as singer/keyboards. She brought with her an artist , Caroline, who designed the Remedy thorn logo.
Ted Stoffers joined the team around the same time as the band's webmaster, and has been instrumental in the technecal aspects of the band. It appeared that the Lord was really at work here, a show was even scheduled for June. Jackie, however, had to bow out , but as the saying goes, the show must go on . Steph stepped up and took over Jackie's part's .
The Present: That bring's us up to the current lineup. Remedy has become so much more than any of us could have dreamed. God does work miracles, because we are living proof. Our hopes and prayers is that we can be a shining light to the lost , and if all we reach is one lost soul, then the long and winding road that is Remedy, was well worth it. GOD bless you all , and remember what this ailing world really needs..... The Remedy
