Remarkable
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Allure Records is a brand new label, with multi talented artists such as , Remarkable (The Co-director of the label) , Danny T, Devious, Deadly and Mastermind the producer. Everything is starting to come together and the more our artists write and perform, the more powerful our music is becoming.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played live quite a lot in Liverpool and Southport(UK). More recently we have been concentrating on getting our albums together. We have been working extremely hard and i know it will pay off when the Appreciation Album is released and then the Mastermind Album.
The best feeling you get when playing your music live and watching your artists perform, is the reactions on peoples faces. Theres nothing better than seeing someone who is feeling your beat when its playing live.
Your musical influences
The beats Mastermind is producing are a lot different to the standard beats in the hiphop industry. Mastermind has always loved music, but has not always been a fan of Hip hop music. I think this is what is making our beats so successful, because we are not making music which sounds like every other tune in its market. Mastermind takes inspiration from his musical background such as Classical Music, Chillout music and Ambient music Eastern culture music and European music, especially Spanish and Cuban. These genres of music mixed with a funky beat is what makes our sounds different. It was a crazy idea, but its paying of because it sounds so good. Devious is also producing beats and one of these can be found on the track Devious.
What equipment do you use?
Mastermind uses Protools, Reason, and Cubase. These are the main devices he uses to make the main structures of the beats.
Anything else?
