REISENDER
Reisender is Chris Ward and Brad Hartman who met a couple of years ago in a band called the Motorprophets. They wrote, produced and recorded a full length album entitled, All Throughout in Portland, OR. Hartman and Ward now reside in Los Angeles and San Francisco and are planning to fill out a band and start playing shows.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Chris Ward and Brad Hartman met in the summer of 1998, in San Luis Obispo, CA while attending Cal Poly. The two moved to Portland, OR in the fall of 2001 and built a recording studio in their basement (Little Saigon). They began shaping the songs for the new album 'All Throughout' in the winter of 2001 and became REISENDER (Rye-zin-der), a German word for passenger and song title from Ward's album Volvoboy. REISENDER'S sound pulls from British
Rock, American Blues and a bit of Trance groove.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Getting ready to start playing in Los Angeles.
We closed a show at the Ash Street Saloon in Portland just as a two man acoustic act and brought the house down.
