...just a solo project working on various tracks best discribed as electronica...
From my point a view I like to cover as many jambres as possible, but in a certain way almost everyone sticks to his influences and favs...So I feel electronica is my limitation here ! ;-)
But you are free to decide upon that yourself !
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Nope. Just bedroom productions and some DJ sets, where I test my audience at the moment...
Your musical influences
Everything which has a melody !
But most and latest influences stem from trance,
hard trance, goa, psy trance, progressive trance, house, ambient. I wouldnt deny to have narrowed my influences but I would still count some heavy stuff, rock ,pop, alternative, independant and classic music to the things I like to listen to. Being influenced by a dear friend of mine I really got connected to some cool elektro tracks recently,well since more than one year. So pls check robophil at myspace and Ill promise youll have a blast attending the parties he promotes and djs at !!
What equipment do you use?
At the moment a stick around mostly with propellerhead software....
This includes mostly Reason 3, Rebirth 2, Recyle 2.1. Just beginning to dig Live 6 but surely plan an upgrade to 7. Some mastering jobs get in contact with WaveLab and Adobe Audition. From my analog times I still keep my SCI Prophet 5.
Anything else?
Ive heard Bob Moog suffering from a glioblastoma multiforme,which is still an incureable and very agressive brain tumor. Sadly enough I expect him to die in the next months. The average life span after diagnosis (Bob mentioned April !) is 6 months !
Thx Bob for your unique inventions that made the music world change so much !!!
Update 21st of August 2005 :
Robert Moog has died...
Sometimes things happen earlier than expected...
I should have known better cause Bob mentioned to have had a meeting with his docs recommending some vitamins...!?! Well, this is no propper treatment to this desease unless its too late for subtotal resection, radiation and chemo.
But nevertheless your sounds will survive for a loooong time and thereby your rememberence will carry on and on...
