Redneck Martian
One man band. Closest I ever got to being in an actual band was in college. We performed twice and it was ok. I've played guitar since I was a wee young lad. As an adult I've come to enjoy playing blues based guitar mostly.
There were some promising 4 track sessions with a friend (see artist: ) in the late 90's. That was very fulfilling . My best contribution was my voice, I think. We are still good friends and he is still quite the guitar afficionado. . So, who knows, maybe we'll find that pinhole in time to do a few more sessions. Things are digital now, so the multi track recording part is waaaay better.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I would be more at home in the studio, but do have a creative wing here and there that stirs me to record songs once in awhile.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No. Maybe for family or close friends here and there. Special moments, yeah, when some friends and I played at a Christmas party and I couldn't tune my electric in with the others. I had an acoustic and a six string banjo which worked out fine.
Your musical influences
I am largely influenced by Blues and great 3 chord rock tunes from the late 60's-early 70's.
What equipment do you use?
whatever I can get my hands on, but usually very basic stuff. At the moment (march09) I am playing with Cakewalk software. The acoustic guitar, in it's case is wondering about me.
Anything else?
I am thinking about making the next step, combining my guitar and voice work with cakewalk as a backing. It's untreaded waters.
