Red Handed Jill
Thrown together from various old school element for a few shows at San Francisco's Odeon Bar. It came off really well, so we are continuing on. The band is made up of the well seasoned, in both the creative and professional ends of things. We know how to get down to the funkiest bits, then turn on a dime to soar to the heights of beauty. We can play our asses off, or lay still in the zone, making headroom for those on an expanding trip. We have all been around the block a few times, and our history is exposed in every note we play. Hope to see you at our next show.
Band/artist history
this band is too young to have a history. Leave it to say, the sum is greater than the parts
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We kick ass live. It's the whole reason for Red Handed Jill
Your musical influences
Booker T and the MGs, Traffic, Coltrane (modal period), The Who, Tommy Mc Cook, Brian Eno, James Brown, The Upsetters (LSP's studio band ), and a whole hell of a lot of music from around the globe
What equipment do you use?
Connie plays an old Conn Alto Sax from the early 20's, and a sweet sounding Vito Soprano. Eric uses a vintage Oberhiem Matrix 12 analog synth. Kelvin has several Yamaha drum kits, and Jesse plays a Fender J through a Sovitek 15 cab, a SWR 2 10 cab, and a SWR 180 head.
Anything else?
This is a live band, and the songs change every time we play them. This is funky jammin music, good for the head as well as the heart.
