Reckless Paradise
Reckless Paradise is a promising new band that plays a style of music best described as old rock meets metal. It is a four-piece band consisting of Lead Guitarist Rebecca Muller-Jones, Rhythm Guitarist Laurence Hopkins, Drummer Simon Barbour, and Bassist Ben Warnett.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Reckless Paradise formed as a school band in May of 2003, playing several school gigs, before moving on to local pubs and clubs, which is essentially where they are now. Looking back from before Reckless Paradise, each member has played in bands before Reckless Paradise Simon and Becca have played together in other bands, and Simon has also played in a band with Ben. Laurence played guitar in two bands before joining Reckless Paradise in October of 2003.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We've just played, and won, a county wide battle of the bands, so naturally we're pretty chuffed with that. We mostly play local pubs and clubs however. We're doing a big charity gig though that should get us some local media exposure. There'se nothing better than the feeling of hitting the first three chords in our first song and watching the crowd move.
