Rebel With Creation first hit on the roots reggae scene in the year 2000 with the album Dubb To Afrika with the title track being a major hit with all popular reggae sound systems. This was followed by Steppas Delite in 2002 an album which moulded a new sound for UK roots. Still ever innovative in styles and sounds the following album Kebra Negast spawned the hit singles New World Order and The System. Following the sucess of this album Rebel worked alongside some of reggae's greats and produced Rick Wayne's album Life 2000Fifth in 2005 selling well over 10,000 copies. 2006 sees the birth of a brand new album Manifestation which is already creating waves on the roots scene, those of you who are lucky to be in London can see Rebel Live and direct at Club New Orleans on Tuesday 17th Jan with more dates of his one man tour to be announced.

Rebel is currently putting together a one man set featuring live visuals, light show and dancers.
Your musical influences
Musicians all over the world influence me from Stevie Wonder to Coldplay. Stevie is my favourite artiste, I'm also influenced by Steel Pulse, Third World, Lee Perry, Scientist, The Chemical Brothers ......
What equipment do you use?
Rebel plays a Roland AX-7 and Roland Fantom on staged MIDI'd to a laptop running Cubase SX with Absynth3, BX-4 II, Korg Legacy Collection plugins digitally hooked up to Mackie d8b mixer via 24 channel ADAT. His Studio set up is the same only much more outboard and synth plugins
