Realtime Busker
Busker is a solo instrumentalist with a bunch of toys. Recording is more fun than watching television.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Busker has been playing since the 70s, involved in everything from glam rock to Afro-Cuban roots music to Reggae to Bop-style Jazz.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Busker has played all over Southern California and enjoyed it well enough. Since the live music scene is dying out down here, Busker prefers the creative vibe found only in the studio.
Your musical influences
Busker was inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Leo Kottke, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, John Coltrane, Bob Marley, Sun Ra, Capt. Beefheart, Wayne Shorter, Charlie Christian, Joni Mitchell, Toots & the Maytals, Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys, The Carter Family, Cal Tjader, Johnny Cash and heaps of others.
What equipment do you use?
Busker uses the Roland VS-880, the Steinberg WaveLab and numerous plug-ins.
Anything else?
Busker is glad to be here amongst his label mates.
