Leasing a beat for a demo enables you to use the beat on projects that are not commercially released, the prime example being a demo or a mixtape. The right to lease any one beat is $10. If your song is hot and has a major buzz and you are ready to go to that next level then me and you can talk about me giving you the exclusive rights to that beat which means I will have my manager hook up with you so that he can have my lawyer draw up the contracts for you and your label. But beware my beats range from $8,000 to $32,000 depending on your label's budget and how many points I'll recieve as well as royalties (this might sound high priced to you but to a major artist this is cheap considering that I have to gold plagues to my name!)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been producing professionally since 1992. My first big break was in the early 90's. I was working with this producer name Roach who was hired by Ice Cube to work on his artist Yo-Yo's new album. I help program the drums on the hit song "Bonnie and Clyde theme". Since then I've worked with the Lost Tribe (Slip N Slide records that features Trick Daddy and Trina), Danger of the group Flat Nine's Finest (they were signed by BadBoy but Puff ...as he was known then...dropped them before they could even complete their album!), Kruked (an artist from Indiapolis), Tommy Wright 3 (a very known rapper out of Memphis, from Street Smart records), Chico and Coolwadda (they had the hit song "High Come Down" with Nate Dogg), Kurupt (of the Dogg Pound), Spice 1 (popular West Coast rap legend), Jayo Felony (used to be on Def Jam now he's signed to Universal records), Murder For Hire (used to be on Death Row records but was dropped around the time 2Pac got killed [RIP homie!], Game (aftermath), Crooked I, etc. AS YOU CAN SEE I've MAINLY WORKED WITH WESTCOAST ARTISTS!!! Either I'll some drums (which is my specialty) or bass, or sometimes the whole track!!!
Your musical influences
Believe it or not: I respect and is influence by up and coming no name producers (like the ones on Soundclick) more than I'm influence by my peers in the music industry because they do it more for the love and creativity than established producers who are limited to one style...which is basically whatever is hot at the moment!
What equipment do you use?
MPC 2000, Korg Triton, Korg Trinity, Any and every Yamaha Keyboard, Any and every Roland Drum machine, Talk Box, etc.
Anything else?
I look forward to working with all of you m.c.'s on here! This is definitely a new experience for me and I hope that you all help make it a enjoyable one as well as successful!!!
