Rattlesnake Kings

Marty Mendoza's Rattlesnake Kings- 50's bop, 60's pop, with a pinch of country. That's the new sound emerging from southern Arizona's newest alternative country artist, "Marty Mendoza's Rattlesnake Kings". Spilling over the brim of the Grand Canyon to the rest of the country, and the rest of the world.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Originally a studio project. Formed in December of 1998 with an old acoustic guitar and some songs, And with the help of many friends and artist, "MM RSK's" project was recorded and became bigger than a studio project. Now after being released, it has become one of the most requested indie albums in the Arizona music market, which includes a few radio stations and major country clubs in Arizona. Group members that participated in the making of MM RSK's are: Marty Mendoza-L.vocals, B. vocals, bass guitars, electric guitars, and all acoustic guitars. Noel Desilets-all drums, Jadi Norris-all guitar leads, Lizzie Grey, Timothy Jay, Leigh Lawson (Spiders and Snakes-Hollywood, Ca)- Guitars, bass and rhythm shaker. Ace- acoustic leads. and my daughter, Nicolene Mendoza- b. vocals. Recorded & Produced by Robb Hume. Music style: Acoustic Rock/ Alternative Country. Similar Artists: Hank Williams Sr. Mike Ness, Hank Williams III, Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Ricky Martin, and Enrique Iglesias.

Only on special occassions. Mostly radio and television spots/interviews.

For this album/project, it has been Hank Williams Sr. Mike Ness, Hank Williams III, Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Brenton Wood, Gary Alan, Dwight Yoakam, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias. And Motley Crue. Ha!
What equipment do you use?
Started with an old acoustic guitar. Flavoured with some drums, bass, electric guitars, and some beer!
