Rap Masire

They call me the Rap Masire. I am what you call an urban type translator of the streets. The, you know, guide to basic knowledge of everyday struggle people endure in the Hip Hop community today. Through lyrics, my plans & goals are to reach out to those with a listening ear and also those that seek basic understanding, and to make a change out there. To let my people know that they're not alone at what they go through, male or female; and that there's always a way out through positivity.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I used do open mic's all through the 5 boroughs, But after an awakening experience at a show at Hunter College in 2005, I decided to stop open mic functions temporarily and stay focused on my projects progress where as at one time I tried starting my own group, "THE FEW"; & I found my self at times surrounded by snake fake artist's. Till this day I still use and own the name " The Few " (coprighted) but now.... I AM THE GROUP !
Your musical influences
Like I said before, Anyone from The Native Tounge to The Rawkus Family. A postive message through rhyme keeps peace through rhyme.. black sheep, tribe called quest, dela soul -to- the roots, common sense, talib kweli and mos def.
What equipment do you use?
I use some programs like Ejay Hip Hop 5 & Fruity Loops to do some recording at home, and oh yeah can't forget most importantly my "Mic"......
Anything else?
My mind over all. The first 2 letters in the name "Masire", are M.A.- They stand for Mind Ammunition. The secret behind everybody's success in Hip Hop's lyrical expression.
