Randy Sanders
As a singer/songwriter, I play live, mostly with a group HARMONY HILL, also listed on Soundclick, and at church, where I'm the Minister of Music. I play stringed instruments, sing and write, and record. My roots are in country, folk, rock and gospel, and the music and I write and play reflect this. I love using acoustic instruments, especially guitar (6 and 12 string) and include mandolin, octave mandolin, harmonica, resophonic guitar, banjo (primarily play clawhammer style), bass guitar, mountain dulcimer and some violin. Every song I sing has a positive message. My vocals are very distinctive and recognizable. CHECK OUT MY WEBPAGE AT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/RANDBONE !!!!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Have played in Arkansas and surrounding states for many years.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live, especially with HARMONY HILL, and sometimes solo at churches, festivals, social events, coffee houses, etc.
Your musical influences
I loved doing John Fogerty (CCR) and Neil Young and Bob Dylan in the 70's. I am currently a major fan of Tim O'Brien and love to listen to other people like Gillian Welch and a number of others. I'm also a fan of many Christian and Country artists.
What equipment do you use?
A variety of stringed instruments. I record with a Yamaha AW16G multi-track recorder and Behringer Studio Microphones.
Anything else?
I have a unique, identifiable vocal character and everything I play and record has a positive message, and I use acoustic instruments exclusively.
