I have been playing guitar for over 50 years. At this point, two years ago, I decided to learn saxophone.Band/artist history
Like a lot of sixties kids, I was blown away by Hendrix and liked the Beatles music. It was only in the early 1970's that Kaleidoscope drummer Paul Lagos introduced me to jazz. Inspired by Coltrane and African tribal music, I developed my tapping very early in its history.Have you performed in front of an audience? My first concert and recording gig was with Sugarcane Harris, which became Pure Food & Drug Act. Around that time, I was experimenting with two-handed tapping on the guitar. We recorded Choice Cuts album in 1972. In 1974, I recorded and toured with John Mayall's Blues Breakers. I then did a jazz fusion tour with John Klemmer.
Your musical influences
I have listened to saxophone and piano mostly over the years, but if I had to give favorite guitar players, they would be George Benson, Robben Ford and Jimi plus all the blues stars that came before: Albery King, Albert Collins, B.B and Freddy King. What equipment do you use?
I have a Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer and a Fender Strat, and a Yamaha alto saxophone.Anything else?
Music is a very pleasant form of expression. If you have kids, they should be encouraged to try it, but not forced to continue. All comments (1)

Very nice. Beautiful Alto playing with that classic tone.
