Band/artist history
I've been playing off and on since 1970 (mostly on). I've been in a number of bands, and love playing live in front of a good audience, who I like to approach as a group of friends out lookin' for a good time. I like to party with the crowd, and get the crowd involved in what I'm doin'. My biggest band was called Orange, in Portland, Oregon around 1980-1982. We played all of the top clubs, and even had a chance to play with Joe Ely (of the Kingsmen/Louie Louie fame) once.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I'm working on it - as of January 2007 I'm involved in starting up a band in Phoenix called "Poppa Vein". As of January 2008 the band has gone through a few incarnations, hasn't played live yet and who knows if we ever will. It's friggin' hard to build a band when you get older!
Your musical influences
Jimi Hendrix, Blue Oyster Cult (Don Roeser), Steppenwolf, Santana, Pat Travers, Grand Funk Railroad, Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Neal Schon, Eddie Van Halen, Deep Purple, Guns-n-Roses, LA Guns, Megadeth, Eminem, others that I'm sure I'm forgettin' (April Wine, Outlaws, Vandenberg, Santana...)
What equipment do you use?
Real Ibanez Guitars and Yamaha Bass. Drums are canned from CD's (yeah - I DID pay for 'em).
Anything else?
