Rana Hasan is from Pakistan, plays a 7 string guitar and is for one of the fastest Guitar Shredders around. He has also been awarded with Best Talent Award scholarship from Berklee College of Music Boston (USA) in September 2005. "GEO TV" discovered Rana Hasan as the fastest guitarist of Pakistan in the same year. In 2006 "The Musik" channel (ARY) gave him the title of "Fastest Guitarist" from Pakistan. In the same year he launched his band with the name of "Rana Hasan Project" (RHP).

Early Life:
Rana Hassan, born under the enthusiastic zodiac sign of Leo on 17th August 1980. He has done his BS (Computer Sciences) in 2002 from Premier College, Lahore, Pakistan.
Musical Career:
Rana Hassan, known as the Fastest Guitarist of Pakistan. He started playing guitars at his early age and gradually it became his wild passion. He is a multi-talented Guitarist and Composer. As a musician, he is influenced by various styles of music for instance Western Rock Blues guitar players from 60s and 70s, Eric Clapton Santana, Jimi Handrix, BB King and many more. He is also influenced by Fusion Players like Allan Holds Worth, Greg Howe and Shawn Lane. His current influence is Yngwie Malmsten.
He has been into Pakistani Music Industry for the last 10 years playing instruments for the various Pakistani musical bands. He is also giving guitar lessons to many of the forthcoming talented youth of Pakistan, keeping the music ALIVE.
Feeling compositions in his blood, he decided to bring up his own band Rana Hassan Project so he could direct the Pakistan Music Industry to a new era. His compositions are great combination of Shred, Rock/ Heavy Metal and Folk Music. He strongly believes in keeping up the spirit of the Music Origin (Folk) ALIVE. This is why most of his compositions are folk based with a modern touch of Shred and Rock Metallic keeping a balance between the three.

just listened to "holy shred", then listened again. definately got that driving beat and sweet sounding line. an awesome work & sound. some serious string in all your works. i'm not much into rock, but i realy enjoyed this listen. wow
