Raising Stones
Raising Stones was formed in April of 2009 as what was intended to be the core of a planned new Contemporary Service at Lynnhaven United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The goal was to bring God's message in a more Contemporary Musical style to the congregation and Little Neck Community of Virginia Beach. This style of worship is favorable to youth and families, and has become a staple of many churches across the country who are staying with the times and meeting the spiritual needs of the younger generations. While the message is consistant and the same of a traditional or blended service, the method of delivery is more through music and Contemporary Message which is more easily related to by youth and young adults.
In addition to the weekly services every Sunday evening we have also begun to participate in other local Christian and Faith-Based Events in order to support great causes and extend the ministry outside of the church.
We also have some ambitious long-term goals planned to help expand the ministry and expand further into the community and the region. This will include the release of our first studio project later this year, and more involvement in Christian music events.
