Raggedy Ass Canal Boys

Really just two guys (Ottawa & London Ontario) that record for fun by sending tracks back and forth and merging in Cubase on the computer. We periodically get some help from family and friends.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
First efforts at recording were in about 2004.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played live with some friends recently and once upon a time were together in a band in Ottawa ( The Dearly Beloved). That was MANY years ago.
Your musical influences
Our ages put us in the Beatles , early Stones & Animals era. Many groups like Alan Parsons, Chicago , Eagles and Atlanta Ryhthm Section have been some of the tunes we've tried to cover. Kind of evolved into a blues mode as well with Coco Montoya, John Mayall and a more obscure group called The Groove Hogs being some of the sources.
What equipment do you use?
Golf clubs in Myrtle Beach. Oh..... We record with Cubase using a variety of guitars from Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Paul Reed Smith, Rickenbaker and Ibenez, Yamaha s08 and Korg X50 keyboards, Fender hot rod, princeton and acoustasonic amps, Hartke bass amp, Yorkville keyboard amp. You would think with all this good stuff we would be better :-)
