We were young. And not very sensible. And we were going to take over the world. That was 1980. Now, world domination seems a loooooonnnng way off. Oh, well. Bugger! We lasted a few years and got to play some 'interesting' gigs - turning up at a fancy resturant with everybody in formal wear.....er, excuse me, did you order the rock band??? And playing to bikies halfway up a mountain in the mud. Both real good gigs!! We got back together in Brisbane in 1995 at Red Zed Studios to record half the numbers here, the other half were recorded in 2005 at Redwood Studios in Ballarat. We are spread out across the globe, but we still plan to record more rubbish together. And dudes, some of it WAS rubbish!!
Band/artist history
In the year 1340, a manuskript by the gregorian monks was lost in a great religious battle. In 1979 it was uncovered and translated. The message has baffled scholars and historians ever since. It reads, and I quote - Smiiith, this was all YOUR fault.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Did, all over Victoria and yes. Special?? Like, when we were setting up at the Bombay Rock in Melbourne one afternoon and noticed there was no bass player.......
Your musical influences
Thin Lizzy. Angels.
What equipment do you use?
The sort that makes you go deaf. And occasionally electrocutes you!! After being electrocuted, Pete bought some thick, insulating rubber gloves. It looked rather interesting.......
Anything else?
Nick Wilson (badger) - rhythm guitar and vocals Pete Neil (skeet) - bass and vocals Paul Van Pinxteren (smiiith) - drums and vocals John Holgate (hoges) - lead guitar and vocals Go back to my member page to see photographic evidence of the band!!
