Hey, we're The Purple Lemon Trees. We're from Brighton, a relatively new band who formed at a christmas party in 2005. We're all pretty insane. Handbag is vocalist and does other random stuff, Washie plays guitar and vocals, Stripes plays bass and vocals and Tricky Dicky makes big banging noises on a drum kit for us.Band/artist history
Handbag, Washie and Stripes all met at a christmas party in 2005. Screaming at each other, they decided to form a band. With a lack of a drummer, they went on the hunt and found one in the form of Tricky Dicky, in a matter of weeks. Soon the guys begun practicing and trying to make a go of PLT. So far its looking good. Lets hope it stays this way or gets better!Have you performed in front of an audience?We havn't done any gigs yet but are hoping to get some real soon.

Washpot's biggest influences seem to be: Our Lady Peace, Bob Dylan, Star Scream, Bon Jovi, Oasis, Blink-182, The Jam, The Clash, The Beatles, Jimmy Eat World, Gang Of Four, The Calling, and The Used among others. He says he likes to write about Girls, friends, nights out, politics and anything that takes his fancy.
Handbag's biggest influences seem to be: Fozzy, Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, System Of A Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Forever Never, Star Scream, Billy Idol and Stuck Mojo. He Likes to write about going nuts and screwing the system.
Stripes' biggest influences seem to be: The Libertines, Blur, Bloc Party, Motion City Soundtrack, The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, The Clash and Sytem of a Down. Likes writing about, girls, politics, medical problems (random).
Tricky's influences seem to be: Nappies, dummy, Breast feeding, Teething, Potty training and lolly pops, the tweenies, the teletubies and bob the builder. Likes to write about, drawing on the walls, playing in mud and sucking his thumb. percussion=dumbest member of the band. this may change when some one mentions it to him!
