Purgatory
A melodic-thrash metal band in Southern Jersey that perfectly combines melody, aggression, and a progressive edge. Thoughtful/introspective lyrics and a geniun

a Paradise Failed a Paradise Failed
First portion of a very personal two-piece set of songs I've recently wrote. Much more melodic than my past works. Update Jan 4th '04 - third mix posted. Now with VOCALS! Ow, woo. Check it out.

Intro Intro
The introduction from our first show on Nov. 28th at Living Waters. Crowd noise, a few secs of soundchecking, and the dude announcing the band. The fucker announces us under the wrong name, though.

White Horsed Armeggedon (live) White Horsed Armeggedon (live)
First song played at the show. Our ultimate "intro" song ... Bacher does a real introduction (rather than the Living Waters' wanker's one) to the band. Straight ahead speed metal. We screw up alot. Try to ignore it.

a Paradise Failed (live) a Paradise Failed (live)
Second song from our set. Includes some pre-song babble from Steve, clearing up the name situation. Live version of the demo recording already posted.

Revelation (live) Revelation (live)
Closer from the 11-28-03 Living Waters boot. Some more messups in this one. Ignore Steve's terrible falcetto towards the end of the song. Missing a riff at the end, since the jackasses tried to kick us off stage like halfway into the song.
Purgatory is a melodic-thrash metal band that has literally been trapped in it's own namesake for about 2 years. Now with set members, a new found creativity and alot of drive - things are on the upturn. A first in a series of many demos leading up to an EP, shows coming in, and many other progressing events occuring are all signs that our love for music is finally starting to return the favors.
