pure analog
the "pure analog" project by is where we're taking some of our old tapes and putting them up (pretty much "as-is"...) on the web. these tapes range from the early days where we recorded on an 1962 Sony reel-to-reel and a 1980 radio shack cassette recorder and bounced tracks between them. using state-of-the-art shure microphones, casio keyboards, and various instruments and effects, all pumped through an ancient 6-channel mixer, we arrived on the record music scene.
sometime in the mid-1980's we discovered cheap (Fostex) 4-track cassette recorder and the whole sonic game changed. :-) no longer having to bounce every track, it was possible to lay down nearly 8 tracks without excessive noise or pain...
Anything else?
try to keep in mind that these songs are resurrected demos and concept bits... :-)
